Clear widths are restricted and may prevent access for wheelchair users.

Internal Doors

The doors are manual.
There is a pull handle.
The effective clear width of the door is at a minimum of 800mm.
The threshold is level.
The pull handle is within reach of all users.
The door pressure is kept to a minimum on manually operated doors fitted with self-closing devices.
There is a shallow slope leading up to the doors from the corridor. There is also a Bell to attract the attention at staff within the unit.

Lighting

The level of lighting is sufficient for the intended use.

Reception

There is a lowered counter section provided.
There is no induction loop available at the reception desk
There are members of staff who can speak alternative languages.

Seating

The seats provided are stable.
The seating has armrests.
Some customers may not find the seating suitable as the seats are all at the same height.

Signage

The signs are at an appropriate height.
Symbols are used to supplement the text.
The signboard surface does minimise glare and reflection.

Surfaces

The floor surface is suitable for the passage of wheelchair users.
The floor surfaces are slip resistant.

Toilets

The toilets are located in an accessible location.
The doors are lightweight enough to open easily.
There is a low-level urinal provided in the male WC.
There is a urinal with a horizontal handrail positioned either side for support.
